SEO, it's quite a simple one but Google changes the algorithms all the time and a simple change from google can mean mayhem to your sites rankings, as of january 2011 google now ranks social rank signals.

Well I feel compelled to write what is essentially bugging me, I spend a lot of time making websites and applying SEO to build websites and I keep seeing the same old same old rubbish looking sites, please don't get me wrong I am not saying all sites I see are drab but many are, basic layout, horrible colours, bad images, bad navigation, I could go on and on, please correct me if I am wrong but we are in 2011, I am still seeing websites created as though its 1995, even so, I see some awesome websites that i wish i owne but then they have little or no visibility.

Brand means that if you have a high page rank twitter profile then the links you tweet will have an effect on the search activity related to that link; it could help you to rank higher.

If The tweeters are retweeting your tweets, it will influence the search engines to place that information closer to users when they query it on Google.

One of the most powerful tools for marketing at the moment is the smart phone, I phone, Blackberry ect, get on a bus or a train anywhere and have a good look around you, the amount of people who have these devices is quite stunning and that is a route into their world and getting your product or services in front of the consumer, a very well designed mobile website will do amazing things and works particularly well regionally, this is understandable and one observation I made was last week, Me and Mrs are sat in the house watching X factor, the next step after a few cold ones would be a take away, now I know that many of you have a draw full of menus we do too, but I am just not sure which of our 28 drawers around our house has a menu in it and which take away for that matter, and I cannot be bothered looking as I am on my 10th Bud, I cannot be bothered firing up the PC and same applies to the lap top, I phone out, quick search and Roberts your mother's brother, now even the food world are slow on the up take with this considering the industry is worth a staggering 30 billion each year, simple things applied would be just amazing, for example design an app for takeaways locally I am sure someone is already on it, but even easier would be to develop QR codes better and for those of you that don't know what a QR code is, here is an example attached to this post.

Give it a scan and you will know what I mean, now I am not sure how much information a QR code can hole and from what I have seen so far it looks like not a massive amount but I am sure that in this day and age this can be developed to hold a lot more, so for example, if my local take away pop a menu through my door I may use it next time I order but if a QR code is on the menu that I could scan and store the whole menu and contact details in my Iphone then this would be something else, not one for harping on about saving the planet it could reduce paper waste, I am sure many could even develop this further, I done claim to be Einstein but come on, get with whats happening now, if you are quick on the up take then you can be in prime position once things take off, the applications are endless, anyway rant over for now, I will be back for more though.
